Indianapolis Scecina Memorial Head Track Coach

Indianapolis Scecina Memorial High School is currently looking for candidates interested in becoming the new Head Co-Ed. Boys and Girls Track & Field Coach. Assistant coaches with experience in sprints, hurdles and distance are in place. Knowledge of shot put and discus and or jumps are a plus. This is a paid position. Golden Bear Invitational 2018

Shelbyville High School is looking to add teams for their 2nd Annual Golden Bear Track and Field Invitational on Thursday, April 26th, 2018 at J.M. McKeand Stadium, Shelbyville, Indiana. The meet will begin at 5:30pm.

The events and order will be the same as the IHSAA state tournament (prelims and finals) with 2 entries per individual event and 1 relay per team. All track events will be timed using FAT. There will be a trophy for the winning team, as well as medals for all first place finishers. Ribbons will be awarded for 2nd-8th place. This is currently a 6-team invite for both boys and girls.

Announcing the Boomtown Throws Clinic!

What:

  • Develop speed, power, and technique in the shot put and discus.
  • Analysis and discussion of technique, including emphasis of the psychological and physiological aspects of training and competition
  • Learn specific training and conditioning methods for future improvement
  • During the clinic athletes will be instructed in; throws mechanics, footwork drills – with and without the implements, core exercises and video analysis of throws.

When:

  • Sunday, January 14, 2:30 – 5:30 p.m.

Where

  • Struck Gymnasiums in the Horner Center on the Campus of Hanover College

Cost

  • $60 per camper

What to Bring

  • All participants should bring workout clothes to participate in the throwing drills that will be covered. Please bring your throwing shoes, a water bottle, and any snacks you may need. Please bring your own throwing implements! Hanover College will provide a limited amount of implements.
